There is so much to blog about (that I should've been blogging about over the last few weeks, ahem) but when I sit down I forget what I wanted to blog about. So I'll just try to spit out as much as I can.
Colton- Getting big. Really big. Not joking here. Big. Very big. My guess is he's about 20 lbs, maybe more. In comparison, Cooper weighed just under 23 lbs at his last doctor's visit a couple of months ago. Colton wears the same diaper size as Cooper...and it seems tight on Colton.
One day at the babysitter's house he spit up on himself so the babysitter changed his outfit. It was Cooper's spare outfit. It fit Colton fine. We thought if we had 2 boys so close in age that the younger one would be able to wear the older one's clothes, but separated by a year and not at the same time. I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years, Cooper gets Colton's hand me downs. Colton goes to the doctor next week for his 4 month visit, so I've added this interactive poll so you can guess his weight.
Cooper- A day doesn't go by where he's doing something new and usually it's something you don't want him to do. I'm amazed everyday how much he's learned that we never taught him. Like for example, we recycle our cans (the socially responsible thing to do you know...) and put them in a plastic bag on the pantry door. A few weeks back Cooper picked up an empty Coke can and put it right in the bag. I didn't tell him to do that. He just did it.
Even though he's now only 17 months old, he seems to be a big boy. He likes to play with cars. He makes the "Vroooommmmm!" noise and everything. It's almost like he's not a baby anymore. Suddenly he almost seems like a 3 year old. He was just baby, wasn't he?
When he's at the babysitter's house, he's a bit protective of Colton. When Colton cries Cooper will go over to him. When the babysitter picks Colton up, Cooper follows her around the house. He really loves his brother. You always hear him saying "Baby... Baby...Baby...". I hope that they maintain a strong relationship growing up.
A sample of the pictures I should've been posting over the last few weeks.
