Saturday afternoon

We're just relaxing this afternoon. We're going to a surprise birthday party tonight for Mommy. Of course, she knows about it, because she's the one who originally told me about it.

Cooper shows off his "Small Forward" basketball outfit.

Happy Birthday Mommy

Today we celebrated Mommy's birthday.

Cooper and I took Mommy out to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner.

There's a swing Mommy wants for her birthday, so Cooper and I suffered the indignity of having to spend time at Wal-Mart. I will say that it at least looked like they cleaned the place up a little bit since the last time I was there.

Fussy boy

Mommy said that Cooper was a fussy boy all day, but when I came home he seemed to be happy in his swing.

165 Days until...

Micole took most of today's photos. I didn't post many of her photos because Cooper was slobbering all over himself, but there's still a few good ones.

We made a trip to Wendy's for dinner and then Meijer's to get some flowers for our backyard.

Cooper seems to be a little camera shy sometimes (he's going to have to get over it, I tells ya). It seems like anytime he's doing something interesting and you point a camera at him he stops doing it. Mommy had him laughing so she turned on the camera and then nothing.

The return of the EBP

We had a near tragedy last night. The exploding baby poop returned. Again, thankfully no one was injured. It was all over poor Cooper. Up his back and on his legs. He was wearing his "Chicks Dig Me" shirt. We thought it was a goner. Mommy spotted and bleached it and did her best and was able to save it. So there may be more "Chicks Dig Me" photos in the future.

Cooper was fussy all day yesterday, so I think we know why. I felt kind of bad for him. After it all happened he was happy, smiling and laughing, looking like his normal, beautiful self, except that he was covered in his own poo. Gross.

Thankfully we did get photographic evidence of the effects of exploding baby poop, which is near conclusive proof. I won't post it here, because I don't want to soil this website (pun intended).

166 days until Ohio State beats Michigan.

Cooper's ready.

Cooper doesn't know it yet, but Daddy's ticking off his Michigan in-laws with this photo spread.

Here are some new pictures from the "Chicks Dig Me" collection.

Cooper has been a little fussy today. This is how he looks when he starts to turn into "Mr. Fussybuss". I've taken him into the bathroom a few times so he can look at himself in the mirror. Works every time to calm him down.

The Weekend Update

We spent yesterday at Geena and Robert's, eating barbecue ribs and chicken, and playing some cornhole. So I haven't posted pictures since Thursday.

I really like this picture.

I think he's inherited Daddy's wide and ugly feet (though I think they're cute on him).

I might post some more pictures later (from today). He's wearing his classic "Chicks Dig Me" shirt.

Thursday's Pictures

I'm not sure, but I don't believe I have enough pictures of Cooper in his swing.

Sharing made simple by JussPress.com

Certainly I don't have enough of him in his chair.

Sharing made simple by JussPress.com

But then, you really can't have enough.

This is Daddy's new and innovative way to deal with Cooper when he gets fussy. Just put him in front of the mirror and he stops crying. Sometimes he'll even smile and laugh at himself. It works even better than giving him his binky. It's almost a miracle treatment for fussiness.

There is some saying in Hollywood about how actors should never work with kids. They're just too unpredictable. Right before we shot this video, Mommy was able to get Cooper laugh at will. As soon as we turned on the video he wouldn't do it. Mommy winds up entertaining herself.

June 1st

Micole had some errands to do today in Kentucky. On her way back she was going to stop in with Cooper to see me, but the garage was full and she couldn't find a parking place nearby, so they went home. I was sad, because I miss Cooper when I am away at work, from the time I kiss him goodbye in the morning until I return home in the evening. I wonder how long I will feel this way about him. My guess is that it will at least be this way until the first time he backtalks me. After that who knows....

Scared of the strange floating hand.

A little dark, but in this closeup you can see how pudgy his cheeks are.

This outfit is supposed to be for 3-6 months, but he pretty much already fills it out.
