I went through that and I hate to say it, but the solution is to just just reinforcing that the dog's toys are the dogs and yucky, and correcting the dog when he/she touches C's toys. Takes a week or so I found.
We trained our dog rather quickly by sending her to her crate every time she picked one of his toys up. But we have no problem with him playing with the dog's toys. It's pretty funny watching them play tug-o-war these days. They both love it.

Not sure but if you find out let us know...I have the same issue but with ferrets...4 of them and they also like swapping food...
We should watch this not to happen .. as this is not a funny item. The best way is to make a suitable boundary between both.
