Ah, Forgetful Me

There are so many things you forget to blog about when you're not blogging about anything, which is, of course, my regular blogging status of late. Like for example,... What was it again?... Oh, yeah... The kid's now up to three teeth (a new one on the top). He's been on two for quite some time. So far he's been fairly efficient eating with just two bottom dwellers. He's had no problem diving into cheese puffs, some crackers, biter's biscuits, mashed potatoes, green beans, macaroni and cheese, and french fries. That's the current list, at least as far as I can remember. As for softer items, I must include ice cream and cottage cheese.

Pappy came over today to see Cooper. Cooper's a shy boy. It takes him some time to warm up to people. He's good around me, Micole, the babysitter, the babysitter's children, his cousins, Aunt Kelly, and Grandma Stella. He has yet to become accustomed to Aunt Heather and Pappy. When Pappy first got here he was so shy that he wouldn't walk while he was being watched. He warmed up a little bit, but not much. Cooper certainly didn't want to be held by Pappy. As soon as I would hand the lad over, he would start to whine.

I also forgot to blog about my fall. It's been about 11-12 days since it happened. The bus stop is about a 3 minute walk from my house. Well one morning in my haste to cross the street, I hit a patch of ice at the bottom of my driveway. I fell down face first, half of my body on the driveway cement and half in a mud pile created by tire tracks. Ripped a hole in the knee of my pants and scraped up my hand real good. So bleeding, covered in mud, and stripped of all of my dignity, I return to the house to clean up and change clothes, so that I can catch the next bus. Micole tried not to laugh, and didn't in my presence, but later told me that when I went to the basement to change clothes, she had an uproarious good laugh.

Another thing to mention - He's got pink eye. Micole called the doctor this morning and he called in a Rx for some eye drops that should help with the condition. The boy looks a little worse for wear right now, though I think he doesn't feel as bad as he looks. He's played plenty with his toys. As for the toys, I wonder why I even attempt to put them away. Sure, the living room looks nice for about 10 minutes, but no longer than that. I push the boulder up the hill to get to the top only to watch it roll down.

There might be something else to say; I'm not sure. I've probaby forgotten something I wanted to blog. Anyways posted below are a few pics from the last week.

Ouch! Be careful! That ice can really hurt you!

Hope the pink eye doesn't spread...
